Many corporates have adopted #King principles of good corporate #governance or are #listed and have to include in their #annualreport a #sustainability report and measure. European companies have a similar extended measure set by the United Nations - commonly known as the SDG17.
Some back ground, in September 2015, the General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Building on the principle of “leaving no one behind”, the new Agenda emphasizes a holistic approach to achieving sustainable development for all.
Doing business in these regions requires a good understanding of how your solution can contribute to the SDG's - so if exploring prospects in the region a self review of your solutions or business against the SDG's must be part of the journey.
